Bastar Dokra

Handed down from the Harappan civilization, Bastar Dokra craft is made of many intricate steps without the help of any molds, which makes each product a masterpiece in itself. These are made by casting bell metal (brass and bronze) manually through the vanishing wax technique. The decoration is done on the dyes with wax strings. The entire process can be divided into five major parts as follows—Modeling, Molding, Dewaxing, Casting, and Finishing.

Our entire collection is made by National Award winner master craftsman Shri Rajendra Baghel. He has also trained more than 200 people on the craft, thus ensuring the next generation of artisans.
